"...These ten square meters were mine — the best ten square meters I've ever known in my life." Joseph Brodsky lived in these rooms for 17 years, until he left for exile. Today, they serve as a museum, exhibition space, and the "End of the Beautiful Era" bookstore.

Exhibition

The Winter Palace will host an exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Decembrist uprising on Senate Square. The exhibition tells the story of one of the most tragic days in the history of pre-revolutionary Russia. Before the October Revolution, the Decembrist uprising, along with the victory in the Patriotic War of 1812, was considered one of the most significant events in the country's history.
